Bodine Wins Truck Race at Daytona

Bodine Wins Truck Race at Daytona
Despite not having a sponsor on his truck, Todd Bodine and his team won the Truck Series opener Friday night at Daytona.

Camping World made it’s inaugural run in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 10th race at Daytona.

The green flag dropped and six laps into the race we had problems

when TJ Bell and Brian Scott get together

and Scott then gets together with Open Wheeler Mike Bliss for our first caution.

Forty two laps later and all H-E-double-hockey-sticks break loose.

Larry Foyt was among the eight trucks that were involved in the mayhem.

The craziness claimed the trucks of

Johnny Benson, Ricky Carmichael, Mike Skinner, James Buescher, Johnny Sauter, Shane Sieg, Jason White and Larry Foyt.

A scary moment on Lap 33 when Brent Raymer got loose on the bottom coming off turn two and hit the wall very very hard.

It appeared that the throttle hung after the first hit and he hit the wall again extremely hard again.

The safety team was right on the spot and thankfully he walked away on his own power.

21 laps to go and Jason White gets into trouble when he gets together with David Star and Rick Crawford.

Last lap now and Todd Bodine holds off Kyle Busch for the win with an unsponsored truck.

A wet Todd Bodine is so excited; he celebrates by dancing in victory lane.

Terry cook finished third. Here is how the few Open Wheelers in the race finished:
1. (Todd Bodine)
3. Terry Cook
20. Larry Foyt
30. Mike Bliss
