Coons Sets Track Record at Eldora 1:40pm
Rossburg, Ohio – Jerry Coons Jr. set a new Eldora Speedway USAC Sprint car track record today. The Arizona native bettered his USAC Silver Crown teammate, timing in at 14.712 at 122.349mph. Coons broke the old record of 14.750 set by Levi Jones in 2005. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was second quick at 14.792. Dave Darland was third quick at 14.822.
