Robin Miller's Daytona Take
The always colorful Robin Miller let it fly with his take on the 2006 Open Wheel season Sunday night on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain. Miller said that Champ Car's Katherine Legge is racing this year only because of the success of Danica Patrick last year. The great Miller says running her this year is one year too soon and she needs another year to develop into a good driver.
Robin Miller also said the IRL did the right thing by going with one engine for 2006.
He said the only thing the IRL could do better was reunite with CCWS but that likely will not happen any time soon.
My Daytona Take
The green flag dropped on a strange Daytona 500 that saw fog and misty weather but not the "BigOne."
Carl Edwards made a rare mistake hitting Kyle Petty and taking himself out of the race. Edwards finished last.
Tony Stewart took a lot of heat for bumping Matt Kenseth. We will see where that feud leads down the road.
Jimmy Johnson took the win under caution. I know they only get one chance of a green, white checkered. Maybe they should have more than one "OT." I felt a little cheated when I watched hours of coverage and racing, only to see a multi car rush for the lead and a late pack wreck end the race.
Cheney's Got a Gun
It was only a matter of time before someone created a video game about the VP's mistake.
Still all in all it isn't as bad as "Itty Bitsa Kitty." (warning graphic game)
