A Timeout Could Prevent Nicole Lunders vs Eva Bryan
If you read the title of this article, you assumed that someone neededs to go to the corner and learn how to play nice. That is not where I am really headed.
Kurt Busch is trying to remake his image and he just needs to take a break. Coming up with unique post race celebrations is good but maybe he need to consult with a certain NFL player that pulls cellphones out of goalpoasts. His current victory celebration, the snow angel, just isn’t him.
He also needs to back it down a little bit. I don’t want to see him be taken advantage of on the track
but his fiancee should not have to endure a lecture from another driver’s girlfriend.
For the young lady circled on the left, Nicole Lunders (Greg Biffle’s girlfriend), she will have to talk with NASCAR probably next week about her actions (see earlier posts).
It makes for good TV, but if you are Greg Biffle or Matt Kenseth (Bristol), it makes for a horrible weekend. Step back Kurt. Take a deep breath and figure out honestly how to make this thing work.
Open Wheel Tats
As we reported Wednesday, PJ Chesson was featuered on IndyCar.com. The website talked about his tatoos. Which ABC IRL commentator or pit reporter also has a tatoo?
Brent Musburger
Marty Reid (center)
Jamie Little
Or Dr. Jerry Punch
I will post an answer next week.
Hole in the Wall Camps
Paul Newman is probably the biggest high profile friend of Open Wheel racing in my lifetime. Newman has driven and owned race teams for years. The star of the best hockey movie ever made, Slap Shot, has also given of himself to make others feel more comfortable.
During this past weekend’s Champ Car race from Long Beach, a commercial aired with Newman speaking about one of his lifelong works, Hole in the Wall Camps. The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps serves existing Hole in the Wall Camps and those in development. Last year, our camps served nearly 10,000 seriously ill children. Each camp is a separate entity expanding founder Paul Newman's dream to provide a recreational and therapeutic camping experience for children facing serious illnesses and life-threatening conditions. While at camp, these children discover the joys of childhood often missed during extended medical treatment. All children attend the camps free of charge. Join us Saturday for a recap of both the Busch and ARCA Re/Max Series races at Nashville.
