Silver Crown on Outdoor Channel Saturday/ Kasey Kahne on the Pole, JJ Yeley Outside/ Severe Storms

Silver Crown on Outdoor Channel Saturday

The Homestead-Miami Speedway Silver Crown race is scheduled to air on the Outdoor Channel April 8 at 5pm eastern time.

The Outdoor Channel will air twelve, one-hour broadcasts this season with additional replays scheduled. Veteran racing broadcast icon, Jack Arute will call the race while Rob Klepper will handle the color commentary. Brienne Pedigo will report from pit lane.

Kasey Kahne on the Pole, JJ Yeley Outside
It was an all Open Wheeler front row today in Texas. Kasey Kahne took the pole and Cup rookie JJ Yeley will start outside the pole, his best qualifying effort ever. Kahne turned a time of 190.315mph. Yeley came in at 189.374mph.

The Captain Gets Behind the Wheel
Roger Penske was at Homestead Miami Speedway Thursday, testing the newest addition to his car collection. Penske and Miami resident Helio Castroneves will both drive The Captian’s FXX GT Ferrari in a closed course session the day before the Ferrari Challenge gets underway at Homestead this weekend.

Tony Kanaan on TV
Tony Kanaan will appear in an episode of The Apprentice Monday, April 10, at 10pm eastern on NBC.

Severe Weather
It appears that we dodged the serious part of the storm again.

In this image you can see the tornadic storms just south of the white dot (me). We did have lots of hail earlier in the day, up to baseball size.

Luckily again we only had quarter sized hail at work.
