Donny Schatz Wins at Batesville/ World of Outlaws Coverage

Donny Schatz Wins at Batesville
Batesville, Arkansas – North Dakota’s Donny Schatz won the World of Outlaws Sprint Series race tonight at Batesville Speedway. The WoO star qualified second quick on the night and started the feature 4th. When the green flag dropped, it was Terry McCarl that led the first 17 laps of the A-Main before Donny Schatz took over on lap 18. Schatz fought off McCarl the rest of the night to notch his second win of the young season. McCarl came in second with third going to Brooke Tatnell. Craig Dollansky and Jac Haudenschild picked up fourth and fifth respectively.

World of Outlaws Coverage
Normally I don’t do too much WoO coverage but when the tour made its closest stop to my home this season, it was my duty to come and see them and report to you. (The reason for the lack of coverage, I do not want to duplicate what you find on the WoO website, TJ Slideways or Hoseheads.) That being said, it was worth the 3.5 hour drive up into the hills. The WoO is still the greatest show on dirt and proved it tonight. Coming up this week, reports on the WoO, faces behind the series, technology advances and how three generations of one family works together in racing. Plus, Saturday, images from tonight and a larger wrap of the WoO in Batesville (I can’t upload images from the hotel I am at.) Also we will have coverage of the IRL in St. Petersburg and the Truck Series at Martinsville. For now, goodnight from Batesville, Arkansas with the World of Outlaws.
