Special Coverage of the Hoosier Hundred, Indy 500 and Coke 600
Our racing coverage goes into high gear this weekend as we take our show on the road to Indy.

Expect stories and photos direct from the Indiana State Fairgrounds, site of the 54th running of the Hoosier Hundred. Saturday we plan to have coverage of the Truck Series in Mansville, Indiana and the Busch Series at Charlotte. Sunday we will have extensive coverage and analysis of the Indy 500 and Coke 600. As always, you can count on screen grabs, stories and results of how our Open Wheelers performed. Next week we will take it on the road with the IRL to Watkins Glen. I hope you enjoy our coverage. If you have any comments or suggestions on how we can inprove, drop me a line at johnsonbjv@aol.com. –Blake

Danica Patrick, Danica Patrick, Danica Patrick
With the Danica Patrick media coverage this week, our numbers have exploded as everyone is looking for Danica Patrick related stories.

We promise not to overwelm you with Danica stories but we also promise to keep you in the loop.

We will try to have a followup on our story to Danica Patrick needing more cowbell.

Movement in the Race Babe Poll
While Danica Patrick may be queen of Indy, she is only pulling 5% in the Race Babe poll.

Erin Crocker still leads the race babe poll with 32%

but Connie LeGrand,

Michelle Biesner and

Jamie Little have broken away from the pack, tying for second with 10% each. The have a ways to go to catch Erin Crocker but the voting will not end until Monday. So if you haven’t voted yet, go to http://openwheeler.blogspot.com/ and scrolling to the bottom of the page. Swindell has a driver development deal with Evernham Motorsports. Ray Evernham was on hand to witness his young student’s win. Look for a story in the Memphis Commercial Appeal in the next few days on Kevin Swindell.

Blaney’s Backhoe
I haven’t written anything on Dave Blaney this year so it is time to show some sponsor love. Blaney’s car will sport a special Caterpillar Backhoe paint scheme this weekend.

Wind Tunnel to Feature Indy 500 Winner
SPEED TV reports that the Indy 500 winner will be a featured guest on Wind Tunnel Sunday night at 9pm eastern. I assume the winner will be followed by Robin Miller who will tell us that the race wasn’t a sell out, that Danica got too much TV time, remind us how many rides Tony George allegedly paid for and how the back 20 couldn’t keep up with the top 13.
