Hines on the Pole, Tyler wins Consi – 7:30pm
DuQuoin, Ill. – Tracy Hines took the pole for tonight’s Ted Horn 100 here at the DuQuoin “Magic Mile.” The 2005 winner took the pole with a time of 30.612 at a speed of 117.601mph. Jay Drake was second quick with a time of 30.973. Shane Cottle rounded out the top three at 31.048. Josh Wise was 4th, Mat Neeley 5th, Jerry Coons Jr. 6th and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 7th. Brian Tyler won the consolation race tonight at DuQuoin. The USAC veteran got around Shane Hollingsworth on lap 4 of the 10 lap event to win. Bud Kaeding finished second. Johnny Parsons was third. Wayne Reutiman Jr. pulled in on lap 9. All cars are eligible for the feature.
