Not So Fast!

Not So Fast!

Houston 4-2 at Southern Mississippi 3-2
Houston looked good early this season almost beating Miami but last weekend the bottom fell when they choked to Louisiana Lafayette. Will they regroup? Southern Mississippi lost to No. 22 Tulsa and No. 2 Florida. The Eagles are known for their southern hospitality. Unfortunately, that hospitality will end on the field when the ball is kicked off. Southern Mississippi by 7.

Minnesota 2-4 at 21. Wisconsin 5-1
I was going to pick Ohio State vs Michigan State for my Big 10 game but that will be a meaningless blowout so I chose the battle for Paul Bunyan’s ax instead. Minnesota is having a bad season and looks to be on the verge on not going bowling. The mighty Badgers on the other hand are looking pretty good right now with their only loss coming at the hands of Michigan. The Gophers will put a scare in Wisconsin just like they did last weekend when they took Penn State to OT but the Nophers will live up to their nickname when they make mistakes on the way to a Badger rout. Wisconsin big.

Arizona State 3-2 at 6. USC 5-0
Arizona State is a good football team unless they match up with a ranked team. They are 0-2 when it comes to ranked opponents this season. Unfortunately for them they are matched against No. 6 USC this weekend. USC wins by 14.

20. Oregon 4-1 vs UCLA 4-1
This looks like a good 4-1 match up but the difference here is that UCLA’s 4 wins have come against bad teams. Oregon has at least one meaty win. The Ducks won’t win the PAC 10 but they will win this game by 7.

8. Missouri 6-0 at Texas A&M 5-1
Missouri is undefeated and is ranked in the top 10. They are a good team and already bowl eligible. The question is can they beat a lower ranked A&M? The Aggies are better than every body thinks. They have been living in the shadow of Texas for the last few years. Texas A&M will give Missouri a run for their money but the Tigers will prevail one more week and win in a close one.

2. Florida 6-0 at 17. Auburn 5-1
Auburn looks to bounce back in the ever tough SEC after a loss last weekend at home. They try to defend their home turf this weekend against Florida but the Gators have SEC and National title hopes on their mind but wait, was last weekend’s loss to Arkansas a fluke. Is Auburn that good? Not So Fast! Auburn is good but Florida is carrying the SEC banner. It will be another good fight but the Gators will escape with the W by at least 2.
