The Indy Racing League and Simmons Abramson Marketing created a theme song for the "i am INDY" campaign. The song, "i am INDY," was co-authored by Gene Simmons and BAG. If the IRL can have a theme song, so can the “race babe” poll. The version that I rewrote to the tune of "i am INDY" speaks from the point of a racecar. Cars don’t care if the driver is male or female; they just want to go fast. This song forges a resonant link between a young fictional driver named Mindy (the ultimate race babe) and her car. Kasey Kahne turned a time good for 4th quick in the first session. 50 cars have entered the event.
