Steele on the Pole for Silver Crown Race 7pm

NEWTON, Iowa – Dave Steele grabbed the pole today for the USAC Silver Crown race turning a time of 23.162 at 135.999. Josh Wise will start outside the pole tomorrow. He turned at time of 23.203. Points leader Brian Tyler was third quick turning a time of 23.311. The full report of qualifying times can be found at www.retechracing.com and clicking on the Live Trackside icon.

In our haste to write about the new records, we failed to tell you second and third quick in the midget and sprints. Dave Steele qualified second quick at 22.682 and Josh Wise was third quick at 22.856. In the sprints, Tracy Hines was second quick at 21.602 and Jay Drake was third quick at 21.642.
