Carl Edwards/ R.E. Technologies Racing to Announce Driver Monday

Open Wheeler Carl Edwards will announce who will drive his Silver Crown car on Monday. The driver tested a 2003 Silver Crown car with the team at Memphis earlier this week. He will drive the car beginning at Homestead next weekend. We will be in Homestead and have daily updates on all Open Wheel matters there.

Miller Weighs in on the Story We Broke Tuesday
There must be a Blue Moon out because I beat Robin Miller to a story. Ok maybe I didn’t beat the great one to the story. Maybe he knew about it but elected to sit on the story just like I had the actual race dates and tracks but wanted to sit on those because the Big Car Series has not officially released their schedule yet. Miller’s column on www.SPEEDTV.com covers the new series. In it Jason McCord and Jason Smith discuss why and how for the series. It is apparent that the new series is ment to be positive and not negative towards USAC.

Kahne Coming to My Crib
Kasey Kahne is coming to my crib. Well not actually my house, but the Open Wheeler is planning to race at my home track, during the Busch race at Memphis Motorsports Park. I will provide daily updates on our Open Wheelers from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and the Sam’s Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park.

Kinser Wants to Be All That He Can Be
The U.S. Army will sponsor on Kraig Kinser's No. 47 Silverado Truck Friday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It will be the third truck event for Kinser.

Cook Starts 200th Race
Amy (East) Cook’s husband (Open Wheeler by marriage) Terry Cook will celebrate his career 200th consecutive start this Friday night at AMS. Cook is the leader in consecutive starts among active drivers.

Bobby East in the ATL
Keeping the news a family affair, Bobby East is slated to start the Atlanta truck race driving the Wood Bros/JTG No. 21 Ford.
