George Tells it like it Is
Rather than being hounded all weekend and for that matter all season, Tony George decided to meet with the media Friday at Homestead to inform them about potential reunification. Basically TG said what we and Robin Miller have been reporting. There are talks ongoing and the wheels are turning. He said that it is possible to have reunification as soon at 2007.
Good Day for Chip
Target Chip Ganassi Racing drivers Dan Wheldon and Scott Dixon led the opening day practice sessions. Wheldon turned a lap of 24.0004 seconds, 215.561 mph which was slightly better than Dixon with a time of 24.8974 214.721 mph.
Team Panther Works Late
Team Panther was working late as I left the track on their car which impacted the turn 3-4 wall in practice today.
IRL Goes Honda
Everywhere you look, the IRL has hew vehicles. The Honda Accord Hybrid will serve as Official Pace Car for the 2006 IRL IndyCar® Series season. The Delphi IRL Safety Team also will use Honda vehicles in 2006.
I guess this Proves that TN is a Redneck State
The Tennessee General Assembly has proclaimed May 19, 2006 as NASCAR Day in the state of Tennessee. This decision makes Tennessee the first state with 100% participation at the state government level.
