Kevin Harvick Wins, Carl Edwards Third/ Look Familiar?/ Paul Tracy May Stay in Open Wheel
Kevin Harvick Wins, Carl Edwards Third
There was a whole lot of bumping and banging at Phoenix tonight, but in the end, Kevin Harvick won out in Busch Series action. Open Wheeler Jason Leffler sat on the pole and led most of the early laps. Tracy Hines day ended early when he had to wheel his car behind the wall 34 laps into the race.
John Andretti got too low on the apron and spun up into the lane of traffic in turn 4 and right into the path of Johnny Sauter. The hit was hard enough to lift Andretti’s rear tires off the ground. Neither driver was injured.
Several laps later Paul Menard spun Arizona native JJ Yeley going into turn one.
Yeley would recover to finish 12th.
Jason Leffler was booted by Clint Bowyer.
At the same time Paul Menard checked up and was sent around by Kurt Busch.
Clint Bowyer was moved to the end of the longest line for spinning Jason Leffler.
Carl Edwards looked to make a run in the green-white-checkered finish but
Kevin Harvick was too fast and won the race.
